Stock levels reduction

COMPASS implementation leads to achieve significant results in terms of reduction of inventory levels.

Planning materials requirements synchronised with production schedules based upon the available production capacity allow to cut stocks to the minimum at all production process levels (materials can be made available when they are needed on the production lines).

As to the finished products, the possibility to identify the optimal stock levels to be maintained in order to guarantee the planned level of service (based on overall demand forecasts) allows to cut finished product stock levels to the minimum and thus reduce frozen capital and the risk of product obsolescence.

This approach is particularly important in those environments (such as food and pharma industries) where product shelf life is a critical issue.
